Alyssa Fox

Candidate for Secretary

Alyssa Fox is director of information development and program management at NetIQ Corporation in Houston, Texas. Her interests and skills include technical communication, user experience, process improvement, and agile development practices. Alyssa is a member of User Experience Professionals Association (UXPA), a senior member of Society for Technical Communication (STC), and is currently serving as the STC Secretary. Bernard Aschwanden

Candidate for Vice President

Bernard Aschwanden is an STC Associate Fellow, with broad community involvement on the Board of Directors, and presenting, educating, and leading. He has more than 20 years’ experience in technical communication, building strong business and professional relationships, and bringing together diverse teams. His track record of success, proven leadership, experience, and resourcefulness during his many years of service, along with his clear vision for a stable and vibrant community, mean a strong future for STC.

Charles Fisher

Candidate for Director

Charles Fisher is an STC Fellow with more than 25 years of experience as a technical communicator. In his first job, he wrote documents explaining nuclear physics and how to safely dispose of nuclear waste. Throughout his career, he has worked as a writer, manager, and educator. He joined STC in the early 1990s. He feels that the conferences and leadership opportunities he’s experienced through STC have helped him advance in his career.

Donn DeBoard

Candidate for Nominating Committee

Donn DeBoard is an award-winning technical communicator with more than 25 years experience in the software industry. Currently, he is a senior information developer at Vertex, Inc., a tax-technology company in Berwyn, PA. He is an STC Associate Fellow. Donn has been active in STC programs and leadership on the chapter, SIG, and international levels for more than 25 years. He has also presented at regional conferences, the STC Summit, and STC webinars for more than 10 years.

Makarand (Mak) Pandit

Candidate for Director

Makarand (Mak) Pandit is a successful technical communicator, instructional designer, project manager, and trainer, with more than 20 years of experience. A spiritually inclined person with commitment to the community, he is interested in learning and sharing knowledge.

Marta Rauch

Candidate for Nominating Committee

Marta Rauch is an STC Associate Fellow and senior principal information developer at Oracle, where she leads cloud and mobile projects.

A frequent presenter, Marta has published many articles and received 15 STC awards. She is VP and program manager for STC Silicon Valley, Summit proposal reviewer, and International Summit Awards judge.

Marta holds a BA from Stanford University, a teaching credential, and a certificate in technical communication. She is a Certified Gamification Designer.

Paul Mueller

Candidate for Vice President

Paul Mueller is an STC Associate Fellow and has served in many leadership roles, from managing a team of 40 distributed around the world to owning his own consulting company. Paul's STC service includes many Society leadership positions, such as Board Member, Summit Conference Chair, and the Chair of several task forces. Paul would like to use his experience to strengthen the Society, bring the technical communication community together, and deliver services that help STC members provide high-quality technical content.

Ray Gallon

Candidate for Director

A communicator for more than 40 years, Ray Gallon is the owner of Culturecom, a consultantancy specialised in business process improvement through communication, and a principal in The Transformation Society research group in Barcelona. He has more than 20 years' experience in the technical content industries, including major companies such as IBM, Alcatel, and General Electric Health Care. 

Ray is a sitting member of the STC Board of Directors and past president of STC France.
