Does anyone here use Dozuki to write and publish their technical documentation? I am curious about what people think about it?
In my opinion, adoption of some of these cool new technologies is slow within tech comm because they're mobile-oriented but mobile is only penetrating tech comm slowly.
The risk, again in my opinion, is that these technologies will be used in tech comm-type ways but by people outside tech comm. The effect will be to sideline tech comm from this type of work.
Something to consider...
Thanks for that. I will have a look at snapguide:) At the moment we are using Confluence on Demand and I have asked around other boards and haven't anyone else using it for their customer training docs as yet!
I'm the organizer of the Bleeding Edge stem at the conference and was the one who invited the Dozuki guys to speak. I liked what I saw of the platform then and still do, but have not yet run across anyone who's actively using it. I'll be interested to see what other responses you get.
You may also want to look at Snapguide ( www.snapguide.com) as a platform for creating your training, primarily for mobile devices. It's sort of a cross between Dozuki and Captivate.
