Don't Forget to Vote!

The STC Election closes on 30 March; have you voted yet? Your vote is your voice in STC, so make sure you're heard on your choice for Vice President, Treasurer, Board of Directors, and Nominating Committee. See the STC Election website for information on all candidates. You must have renewed your membership by 28 February to be eligible to vote. Instructions have been sent via email, but if you believe you are eligible to vote and did not receive an email, contact Steve Skojec.

STC members Sarah O'Keefe, Tom Johnson, and Scott Abel conducted interviews of the two Vice President candidates and posted them for your perusal. Check out the links from STC's Notebook for a webcast recording from Sarah O'Keefe, audio interviews from Tom Johnson, and a written interview from Scott Abel.

From the Hart

Technical Editing SIG Offering Two Scholarships

The Technical Editing SIG is offering two scholarships of $800 each. The first scholarship assists students who are pursuing an undergraduate degree in technical communication and the second assists students who are pursuing a graduate degree in technical communication. Students applying for one of these scholarships are expected to be able to demonstrate their focus on topics related to technical editing through their academic studies, current jobs, special projects, or undergraduate/graduate program. The winners will be announced in Corrigo, the Technical Editing SIG Newsletter. For more information on the Diane Feldman Scholarship program, please see the Technical Editing SIG website.

Meet the Staff

With a few new staffers and the Summit coming up, now is a good time to introduce or reintroduce the staff members to STC members. Starting last week and over the coming few months, we'll highlight a staff member or two each week so our members can get to know us a bit more. See all of them as they're posted on STC's Notebook or collected under the staff tag.
